The name "Vimukthi," meaning liberation, encapsulates the organisation's mission to liberate individuals from the shackles of exploitation and empower them to reclaim control over their lives. Through a survivor-centric approach, Vimukthi envisions a society where survivors become leaders and agents of change, steering their communities towards a future free from trafficking.

One of Vimukthi's distinctive features is its emphasis on holistic rehabilitation, recognising that survivors require multifaceted support to reintegrate into society.
